| MA Fashion Futures have collaborated with the Garden Museum and will show their MA projects in response to the themes of horticulture and sustainability for Cultivating Style; Fashion and Horticulture with London College of Fashion which opens in London Fashion Week, February 2014. The exhibition of their work will coincide with the Design Museum’s Fashion and Gardens exhibition which is sponsored by Vogue. In partnership with the museum, and funded by Arts Council England’s Share Academy programme, LCF students will be co-hosting a series of events exploring the connections between fashion, gardens and the environment, including ‘fashion life drawing sessions’ with a gardening theme; natural dye workshops; and a curated lunch event. Course Leader Susan Postlethwaite said: “We are delighted to be partnering the Garden Museum in this exhibition. MA Fashion Futures likes to position itself slightly apart from main stream fashion and this is the perfect vehicle for us.” |
