And boy did Gwen Stefani shake them at the Performing Arts gala in October. Fellow pregnant pal Rachel Zoe cornered a glittering Gwen for an Instagram picture of their dolled up bumps, and news was circulated that yes, Gwen was pregnant with her third child.
Since then the No Doubt singer has been using LA's pavements as her own veritable runway to demonstrate that maternity wear can be, in fact, very chic.
Top priority for the Hollaback Girl is her arsenal of accessories. Hats and sunglasses cover a multitude of sins. Her handbags, meanwhile, have remained large enough to throw said accessories in, and minimal enough to sit pretty against the patterned coats that Gwen has also proved champion of.

Whistles' camouflage mac (below right) has made a couple of appearances over the pop star's pregnancy, in addition to a sleek tuxedo coat and tweed pea coat. A white leather jacket also framed her bump perfectly, which was masked in a black jumpsuit.
Contrary to popular pregnancy myths that a lady should eschew unstable heels for comfy flats, Gwen has kept up her marathon of heeled boots. All Saints' 'Kiss' tassel pair (below right) and her own label, L.A.M.B.'s Nichol booties are Stefani's staples.
The 44-year-old's fail-safe palette, meanwhile, remains red, which, like her usual fire engine lip colour, provides a striking contrast to her brilliant blonde hair.
But, with no due date rumours circulating yet, we're content to sit back and watch Gwen reign queen over maternity wear for a while longer. If her third child will indeed be her final, the singer is certainly bowing out in style.
