Fashion designers gear up for new fashion trends in 2014 (Global)

Focusing on changing trends in consumer choice for fashion, designers are preparing to offer new styles and designs for the coming year.
In an interview with fibre2fashion, London-based designer Fyodor Podgorny said, “The coming year will be a very exciting year for fashion as it will generate new energies and styles that will influence fashion on the larger scale.”
Adding on, Mr. Ronke Ademiluyi, founder of African Fashion Week London, says, “Simplicity is the password for 2014. We will likely see a continuation and further maturation of the world’s gradual evolvement with designs, colors and fabrics.”
“The most viable style for the coming year will be simple, comfortable and easy-to-wear pieces such as frocks, skirts, blouses and corporate adaptation of easy cotton based fabrics,” he adds.
According to Podgorny, sporty shapes with transparency elements, uniquely done pleats ether as a small feature or as full constructed garment and wide leg pants will be in trend next year.
“We will see mixing of sport and street elements with long sleeves as well as more oversized styles that are more elegant, cool and timeless,” he mentions.
When asked about the color trends, Mr. Ademiluyi says, “The colors that may continue to dominate are bright purple, flamingo orange and deep red.”
While Podgorny says, “Summer seasons will be bright and soft with colors, including pastels and candy hues in contrast with bold tones like Canary yellows and shocking pinks.”
“Towards winter there will be darker soft hues, like aubergines, emeralds and purples with one or two colors pooping out as a bold statement,” he informs.
