Dutch designer duo Viktor&Rolf open first store in Paris (Netherlands)

Dutch designers Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren of the Viktor&Rolf fashion label have opened their first ever flagship boutique in France at the rue Saint-HonorĂ© in Paris’ prestigious first arrondissement.

According to a statement issued by Viktor&Rolf, the designers, who are known for their experimental and avant-garde collections, opened the 7,000 square foot boutique this year in order to mark their 20th anniversary in the business of fashion.

The two-storey space showcases the universe of Viktor&Rolf and houses all of the brand’s lines including women’s ready-to-wear pre and show collections, menswear, and the brand’s haute couture collections would also be available at the store upon request. The flagship store will also display limited and special edition products from the fashion house.

Designers Viktor and Rolf said they have always consider Paris to be their fashion home and therefore are very proud to open the flagship store in the city.

With the avant-garge design of neo-classically inspired ghost architecture, executed in all grey felt, the store expresses Viktor&Rolf brand’s point of reference for future, they added.

The Amsterdam based designers founded their company Viktor&Rolf in 1993. The designers are famous for their avant-garde ready-to-wear collections.

The designer duo recently unveiled their spring/summer 2014 ready-to-wear collection in September, 2013, which was a rebellious take on classical school uniforms, featuring tailored navy blazers and jackets, crisp cotton white shirts, pleated skirts, regimental badges and iconic prints of argyles and plaids.
