Following the suit of absolute men-centric fashion weeks in London, Milan and Paris, the city of Madrid also welcomed this year’s menswear trends with its exclusive menswear-only showcase MFShow Men.
The four-day-long calendar was opened with an autumn-winter collection by Emidio Tucci, a high-end label owned by the Madrid-based department store group El Corte Inglés.
Replete with modern sophisticated looks, the classically tailored line was pre-dominantly based on a palette of blue, beige and brown colours.
The collection featured everydaywear suits, padded parkas, double-breasted jackets, straight lined cotton knit suits and a silk and velvet tuxedo for special occasions.
The line also showcased an array of men’s accessories such as vibrantly hued leather neckties, silk bow-ties, and warm scarves and gloves.
Jointly organized by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, the Madrid City Council and the Business Association of Textile Trade & Accessories (Acotex), the event is Scheduled to run through January 21, 2014.
