David Bailey turns fashion designer

David Bailey and his capsule collection of t-shirtsDavid Bailey might have once dubbed fashion as the "most boring thing in the world", but his work within the industry shows no sign of wavering.

In a diversion from his photography portfolio, the 76-year-old creative has teamed up with East London's The Bleach Room to create a series of six art printed tees.
Based on a handful of Bailey's famous celebrity portraits,Selfridges is stocking T-shirts printed with the faces of Mick Jagger, Johnny Depp, Michael Caine, Boy George, Grace Jones and John Lennon. For fans, the collaboration provides a unique opportunity to own, and wear, a slice of the iconic photographer's work for just £70.
Bailey's fashion endeavour coincides with the Hugo-boss backed exhibition, titled Bailey's Stardust, which will launch in the National Portrait Gallery in February. As the largest retrospective of Bailey's career to date, the photographer, who "was never that interested in fashion", sure knows how to get us excited.
