Singer Lady Gaga is rumoured to be the face of the Italian luxury label Versace's spring/summer 2014 advertising campaign
British artist M.I.A. may have collaborated on a knock-off inspired collection with Versace's sister line, Versus, but Lady Gaga has just trumped her good and proper. According to WWD , the eccentric, fashion-loving superstar is to front the spring/summer 2014 advertising campaign for Versace the Italian fashion house.
The publication has revealed that said campaign has already been lensed in London by leading fashion photographer duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.
Dedicating a track on her new ARTPOP album to Donatella (track 10, in which Gaga declares: "I am so fab / Check it out I'm blonde / I'm skinny / I'm rich / And I'm a little bit of a b***h.") has obviously reaped dividends (listen below)…
But seriously, the two style mavens have enjoyed a close relationship for some years with Gaga donning vintage Versace for her Edge of Glory music video back in 2011 - chosen from the label's archives, no less, at the invitation of the chain-smoking blonde bombshell - who then went on to custom create the costumes for Gaga's Born This Way world tour.
The luxury label has, as yet, refrained from commenting but we're hoping for affirmation in the not too distant.
